My name is Beverly. I’m an English teacher, freelance writer, bookworm, and avid bookbinder living and laughing on the east coast of Canada. I have a very patient husband (♥), three lovable but crazy indoor cats, a house full of books and journals, and various anthropomorphized appliances.
When I’m not making things, I can be found with my nose stuck in a good book (most likely a well-loved classic), volunteering, wandering about nature on foot or by kayak, painting/drawing, viewing my multitudinous BBC period drama collection, singing, writing (in a journal of course!), and engaging in lengthy conversations with my rather talkative cats.
HANDBOUND JOURNALS
“Journal writing is a voyage to the interior.” ~Christina Baldwin
My love affair with journals started at an early age. In my quest for the ‘perfect’ journal, I decided to start making my own and share my love of the blank-book with others. Each journal is unique and lovingly handcrafted using the finest materials, for a wonderful writing or drawing experience. The blank pages are archival acid-free and lay flat when opened, to ensure comfortable writing and/or drawing. Of course, no journal is worth more than the words they store. See journals currently available at the online shop: http://lapaperie.etsy.com or email for local orders.
